Information & Research Advisor – Singapore

About the role

The Information & Research Advisor supports Linklaters’ practice and business teams by delivering high‑quality legal, commercial and sector research. Based in Singapore, the role is part of the firm’s global information team and aligns with the overall business strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, accurate research on legal, commercial and client‑related topics for business development and practice needs.
• Act as the primary contact for fee‑earner and business‑team enquiries, guiding users to appropriate intranet pages, books, journals and online resources.
• Manage the enquiry system, record queries and ensure consistent, best‑practice responses.
• Oversee collection and procurement of information resources, including books, journals and online services, and support joiner/leaver processes.
• Prepare and monitor the information unit budget and track expenditure.
• Promote the Information & Research offering across the office and train colleagues on available tools.
• Maintain a current‑awareness service to keep practice teams informed of sector and jurisdiction developments.
• Contribute to global networks, sharing best practices and implementing firm‑wide information policies.

Required profile

• Strong analytical ability with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in legal or commercial research environments is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with library online catalogue systems.
• Experience using enquiry management platforms.
