Instructional Designer - AI-Enhanced (2-Year Contract)

About the role

An ITE Headquarters position seeks an Instructional Designer with proven expertise in integrating artificial intelligence into teaching and learning. The role focuses on Agentic AI implementations that empower learners and educators, and runs as a 2-year contract.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and evaluate instructional materials and learning experiences that use AI to personalise and improve student engagement and outcomes.
• Lead and support the implementation of Agentic AI solutions in adaptive, learner-driven educational environments.
• Collaborate with academic staff, technologists and subject matter experts to embed AI-driven strategies into curriculum design and delivery.
• Conduct needs analyses and evaluate the effectiveness of AI-enhanced teaching approaches, recommending improvements based on data.
• Deliver training and workshops for faculty and staff on AI best practices in education and agentic learning.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of work experience.
• Credentials in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning Sciences or a related field.
• Experience in higher education or lifelong learning environments.
• Proven instructional design experience with a portfolio showing AI integration in teaching and learning.
• Hands-on experience with Agentic AI tools, platforms or frameworks in education.
• Track record of published work or presentations on AI in education or T&L innovation.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of AI trends in education, including ethics and data privacy.
• Familiarity with data analytics, adaptive learning systems and emerging agentic AI technologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
