Integration Engineer - MaaS

About the role

Bitdeer, a technology company for Bitcoin mining and AI cloud, is looking for an Integration Engineer to build and operate the adapter layer connecting its Model-as-a-Service platform to third-party inference providers alongside its own GPU-hosted models. Each upstream provider has its own request schema, streaming format, rate-limiting and error handling, so this role normalises them into one internal contract, adds cost guardrails and circuit breakers, monitors API contracts for breaking changes and reconciles provider invoices against usage telemetry.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain provider adapters that translate request/response formats, streaming protocols and authentication into a unified internal interface, owning the full lifecycle from integration through upgrades and deprecation.
• Normalise feature sets and error taxonomies (context limits, function calling, streaming semantics, rate-limit codes) into a single predictable contract.
• Design automated spend controls and circuit breakers that throttle or fail over on runaway token usage, retry storms or degraded latency, tuned per provider and model.
• Monitor provider API changelogs and deprecation notices, and build automated contract tests that catch drift before customer traffic.
• Reconcile monthly provider invoices against internal usage and metering records at request level, resolving discrepancies with finance.
• Evaluate prospective inference providers on API quality, pricing and reliability, running proof-of-concept integrations.

Required profile

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience building and operating production API integrations, including at least one project with multiple third-party providers behind a single interface.
• Experience with Go or a comparable statically-typed language, including HTTP/gRPC clients, retry/backoff logic and circuit-breaker patterns.
• Knowledge of LLM and inference provider APIs (e.g. OpenAI-, Anthropic-) including streaming, function calling and token-based rate limiting.
• Experience with cost and usage monitoring or alerting for a metered, usage-billed system, ideally with reconciliation against a vendor invoice.
• Comfortable reading third-party API docs and changelogs, writing contract or integration tests and debugging failures outside your own codebase.
