Intern - FE Capital Equipment Site Operations

About the role

Micron is offering an internship in its Front End Capital Procurement Operations, focused on supplier performance analytics and procurement process transformation. The project develops data-driven and AI-enabled solutions to improve visibility into supplier performance, capital equipment delivery and procurement activities. It covers supplier performance analysis, capital equipment delivery tracking, procurement dashboard development and workflow optimization, and explores how AI, Generative AI, AI Assistants and Agentic AI can improve data analysis, reporting and decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze supplier performance metrics, equipment delivery commitments and business review information, and develop methods to track supplier performance and spot delivery or supply risks
• Take part in supplier engagements and Quarterly Business Reviews, and collaborate with procurement, engineering, operations and suppliers to validate findings
• Build or enhance procurement dashboards and tracking tools using Power BI, Excel or similar platforms, and integrate procurement and supply chain data
• Analyze procurement and supply chain datasets to find trends, risks and optimization opportunities, and use statistical and data visualization techniques
• Explore AI and Agentic AI applications for data management, insight generation and decision support
• Map procurement workflows and propose simplifications, standardizations or automations, then design and evaluate recommendations

Required profile

• Pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Chemistry, Science or a related field
• Ability to commit to a full-time internship of 5 to 6 months, from January 2027 to May or June 2027
• Strong analytical thinking, structured problem solving and data interpretation skills
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders in a global environment

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with Power BI or comparable business intelligence tools
• Advantageous: familiarity with AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI Assistants, Large Language Models and automation tools

High-performing interns may be considered for future internship or full-time employment. Deliverables include a supplier performance analytics framework, an AI-enabled procurement tracking proof of concept, a process optimization review and a final project package with presentation.
