Intern - Product Development Engineer (NAND Test Flow Optimization)

About the role

Micron's Singapore Bendemeer site is looking for an intern to join its Test Solutions Engineering department (MSB) on a 5-month full-time internship from January to May 2027. The project optimizes NAND component test flows using manufacturing data analytics, automation and AI, with the goal of improving product recovery and test-flow efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve, prepare, analyze and visualize manufacturing data to evaluate NAND test-flow efficiency and product recovery opportunities.
• Work with SpecTek engineers to understand test-flow challenges and apply structured, data-driven problem solving.
• Develop scripts, analytical models, reports and automation solutions using programming languages, statistical tools and data platforms.
• Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, enterprise AI tools and prompt-engineering techniques to accelerate data exploration and insight generation.
• Evaluate AI-enabled solutions, validate AI-generated outputs and follow data security, governance and responsible AI requirements.
• Deliver a structured data analysis, scripts or automation tools, statistical or ML analyses, visualizations with recommendations, and a final technical report and presentation.

Required profile

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, AI or Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Ability to commit to a full-time 5-month internship from January to May 2027.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, communication and technical documentation skills.

Required skills

• Programming in Python, C++, SQL or equivalent analytical languages.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Pandas, Perl, Hadoop, JMP or equivalents.
• Coursework or projects in AI, machine learning, data engineering, statistical analysis or related areas.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled tools, coding assistants, prompt engineering and validation of AI-generated outputs.
