Intern, Sectors & SL Transaction Management

About the role

ING's Wholesale Banking internship programme in Singapore offers a 6-month front-office internship (January to June 2027) in the Sectors & Specialised Lending Transaction Management team. The team executes financing transactions across Asia Pacific, covering project finance, object finance, structured high-yield corporate debt and other cash-flow and asset-based lending, working closely with Sector Coverage teams. The internship gives hands-on exposure to structured lending, credit analysis, financial modelling and transaction execution.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare credit memorandums and other internal approval materials
• Conduct credit analysis, including financial analysis, financial modelling and sensitivity testing
• Assist transaction managers in coordinating deal execution and managing internal and external stakeholders
• Support due diligence and review transaction-related information

Required profile

• Penultimate or final-year undergraduate student with a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, management, engineering or a similar field
• Demonstrated interest in corporate banking, project finance, structured finance or lending, and/or in the sectors covered by the team
• Prior experience or exposure to specialised lending (project, cash-flow or asset-based finance) preferred but not required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deal-oriented, deadline-driven environment

• Good understanding of financial statements and corporate finance concepts
• Solid financial analysis and modelling skills, including developing and maintaining complex financial projections
