Internal Auditor – Commodities Trading Group

About the role

The internal audit team of a global agricultural commodities and trading organization is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor. Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, you will help shape a risk‑based audit plan and work across trading activities, industrial assets, and special investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute audits covering the full value chain, from sourcing to distribution.
• Assess control effectiveness, identify risks, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
• Track remediation progress and maintain strong relationships with regional leaders and corporate functions.
• Support continuous auditing initiatives by leveraging data analytics and automated controls.
• Contribute to the enhancement of audit methodologies and team initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in internal audit, assurance, or a Big 4 environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CIA or CPA are preferred.
• Strong analytical capabilities and commercial mindset.
• Fluent language skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with Python for data analysis.
• Experience using Power BI or similar data‑visualisation tools.
