Internal Auditor (SOX/US GAAP) – Senior Specialist/Assistant Manager

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing manufacturing company preparing for a US stock exchange listing, is seeking a driven Internal Audit Senior Specialist/Assistant Manager to build and lead an internal control framework from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Design, document and implement SOX‑compliant internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
• Create and maintain risk‑control matrices, flowcharts and control descriptions.
• Execute management’s assessment of internal‑control effectiveness in line with SEC and PCAOB requirements.
• Coordinate external‑auditor SOX testing and manage remediation of identified deficiencies.
• Support US‑listing preparation by establishing an IPO‑ready internal‑control environment.
• Align the control framework with US GAAP, SEC regulations and PCAOB auditing standards.
• Conduct annual fraud‑risk assessments and entity‑level control evaluations.
• Drive automation of controls and implement data‑analytics solutions for ongoing monitoring.
• Partner with process owners across business units to embed control awareness into daily operations.
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors on all ICFR matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CPA, CIA or CISA certification preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in internal controls, internal audit or external audit (Big 4 background strongly preferred).
• Hands‑on SOX experience is essential.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) to liaise with Mandarin‑speaking stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
