IT Operations Specialist – Web Applications

About the role

NTU is seeking an experienced Specialist in IT Operations to support the Nanyang Business School. The role focuses on web‑application infrastructure, ensuring reliable services for faculty, staff and researchers while adhering to CITS policies.

Key responsibilities

• Run infrastructure and system operations for Nanyang Business School.
• Manage and monitor IT systems and infrastructure across the school.
• Provide first‑line technical support and troubleshoot IT issues.
• Maintain IT resources, assist with system usage and procurement.
• Collaborate with departments to streamline processes and implement IT solutions.
• Maintain service‑level agreements, objectives and client‑satisfaction metrics.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in IT operations, system administration or user support in a corporate or educational setting.
• Strong analytical mindset with proactive problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Troubleshooting Microsoft‑related software, applications and services on Windows and macOS.
• Familiarity with network environments and standard office applications.
• Experience with Windows imaging tools such as BitOSDT or MDT (advantage).
• Experience with automation/workflow tools such as Power Automate or SharePoint (advantage).
