IT System Administrator – Cybersecurity Focus

About the role

We are seeking a technically driven IT System Administrator with a strong cybersecurity background to join Baker Tilly Singapore. The role combines L1/L2 IT support with security‑focused tasks such as access control, system hardening, incident response and penetration testing.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, applications and network components.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Intune, Entra ID, SharePoint, Exchange, Defender).
• Manage servers both on‑premise and in the cloud, including Domain Controllers, Active Directory, IIS, DNS, VOIP and LDAP.
• Handle network infrastructure – firewalls, switches, VPN, VLAN, Wi‑Fi controllers and Cisco Meraki devices.
• Resolve Level 1 and Level 2 computer or application issues for local and remote users; escalate Level 3 issues to vendors.
• Maintain help‑desk ticketing system, log activities and ensure timely resolution.
• Perform regular system backups and maintain IT‑related fixed assets for onboarding/offboarding.
• Ensure compliance with IT/ISO policies and support IT project coordination and vendor management.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 2‑4 years experience as an IT Systems Administrator with a cybersecurity focus.
• Familiarity with Windows environments and proven experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud IaaS.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Certified Ethical Hacker are a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently.
