Junior Accountant / Accounts Assistant

About the role

Count On Me is seeking a self‑driven Junior Accountant to support our CFOs in managing a diverse portfolio of international clients. This entry‑level position offers exposure to full‑set accounting, payroll, corporate secretarial, and compliance tasks within a fast‑paced professional services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing full sets of accounts by entering transactions, updating balance‑sheet reconciliations, and generating analysis reports.
• Support monthly payroll processing, including data review in payroll software and preparation of related schedules.
• Perform company secretarial duties such as client profile reviews, database maintenance, and KYC/AML administrative tasks.
• Prepare quarterly GST reports for accountant review.
• Help compile unaudited financial statements and XBRL files for year‑end reporting.
• Respond to ad‑hoc client requests within the agreed scope of work.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong grasp of basic accounting principles (debits, credits, journal entries, ledgers).
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive attitude with eagerness to learn and grow professionally.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and the broader Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with accounting software and payroll systems.
• Familiarity with GST reporting and XBRL filing processes.
