Junior Desktop Support Engineer (0-1 yr experience)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team. In this role you will assist with provisioning, imaging, and deploying desktops and laptops for end‑users, gaining hands‑on experience in an enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, image, and configure desktops and laptops for new hires and existing users.
• Install operating systems, standard software, and enterprise applications.
• Perform device setup including domain joining, user account configuration, and security policy application.
• Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure devices meet company standards before deployment.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware, OS, and software issues during provisioning.
• Maintain accurate records of assets, device assignments, and inventory.
• Assist with device refreshes, replacements, and decommissioning.
• Follow documented IT procedures and imaging standards.
• Provide basic end‑user support during device handover.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of Windows 10/11 operating systems.
• Knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware components.
• Familiarity with OS installation and imaging concepts.
• Basic networking fundamentals (LAN, Wi‑Fi).
• Willingness to learn enterprise tools and IT processes.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow processes and work with checklists.
