Junior Legal Associate – Civil & Commercial Litigation

About the role

Our client, a well‑established legal practice in Singapore, is seeking a Junior Legal Associate to join its Civil & Commercial Litigation team. The role provides hands‑on experience across a wide range of contentious matters, with structured mentoring and exposure to court proceedings.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing civil and commercial litigation matters from commencement through to resolution.
• Attend court hearings, case conferences, pre‑trial conferences, mediations and other litigation‑related proceedings.
• Prepare and draft pleadings, affidavits, written submissions, correspondence and letters of demand.
• Conduct legal research and provide case analysis to support ongoing matters.
• Prepare litigation bundles and manage court filings via eLitigation.
• Liaise with clients, counsel and relevant stakeholders to ensure efficient progress of matters.
• Maintain accurate case records and monitor key litigation timelines.

Required profile

• Admitted (or eligible for admission) as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
• Newly qualified (NQ) to 2 years post‑qualification experience in civil, commercial or general litigation, or practice trainees with substantial litigation exposure.
• Good understanding of Singapore civil procedure and the Rules of Court.
• Familiarity with eLitigation and legal research platforms.
• Strong legal drafting, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters with attention to detail and professionalism.
