Kitchen Assistant

About the role

The Kitchen Assistant supports the culinary team by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. This role is essential for delivering high‑quality meals in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, clean, peel, and cut fruits, vegetables, poultry, and meat.
• Stir and heat soups, sauces, and other prepared dishes.
• Clean and store cooking appliances, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes after use.
• Organise and store food supplies in the kitchen, cold room, and storeroom according to safety standards.
• Perform any additional ad‑hoc duties assigned by the company.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar kitchen role is preferred.
• Ability to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods in a fast‑paced environment.
• Passion for food and willingness to learn.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
