About the role
The Knowledge Lawyer, Tax – APAC will partner with the APAC Practice Group Leader and Business Manager to deliver knowledge services that support the Tax Practice Group’s strategic direction. This role coordinates legal content projects, training initiatives, and knowledge programmes across a highly matrixed organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, develop and maintain tax precedents and other legal content, incorporating automation where appropriate.
- Create standardized documentation and tools to improve efficiency and quality of legal advice.
- Monitor legal, regulatory and market developments, providing structured updates to the practice group.
- Coordinate multi‑jurisdictional tax topics, ensuring consistency in cross‑border positions.
- Lead training for lawyers on internal systems and subscription‑based research tools.
- Respond to ad‑hoc lawyer enquiries, triaging to subject‑matter experts as needed.
- Develop practical tools such as checklists, comparison tables and playbooks.
- Ensure the collection and input of practice‑group know‑how into the firm’s global knowledge repository.
Required profile
- Legal background with expertise in tax law.
- Experience in knowledge management or similar knowledge‑service roles.
- Strong understanding of APAC tax priorities and ability to work in a matrixed environment.
- Excellent collaboration skills with practice groups and business professionals.
