Lab Technician – Gas and Liquid Analysis

About the role

Air Liquide Singapore Private Limited (ALSg), the largest industrial gas company in south-east Asia, is hiring a Lab Technician for its IPAG Hub laboratory and analysis unit. The role covers analysing gas and liquid samples to meet customer specifications while complying with safety requirements and ISO quality standards, including calibrations, traceability documentation, ad-hoc analytical services and safety and continuous improvement work.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse gas and liquid samples independently according to written procedures and customer specifications.
• Perform calibrations and work safely, reporting any near misses.
• Support off-site or ad-hoc analytical services when required.
• Take part in safety, quality committees, the CERT team, 5S or other committees as instructed by the supervisor.
• Record all work through a scanning system or standard documents to maintain traceability.
• Ensure non-compliance reporting, proper record processing and verification of incoming and outgoing certifications to uphold the ISO-based quality management system.
• Assist in efficiency and process continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITE certification in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience operating and maintaining analytical instrumentation.
• Strong foundational knowledge of quality management systems and standards.
