Laboratory Technician – Microbiology & Chemistry Testing

About the role

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform microbiological and chemistry testing in a cleanroom or laboratory environment. The role supports medical device manufacturing by ensuring compliance with GMP, safety, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine testing such as sterility, bioburden, aseptic filtration, environmental collection, and in‑process solution analysis using established SOPs.
• Enter test data accurately and maintain traceable device history records.
• Follow work instructions and SOPs, ensuring compliance with GMP, environmental, and safety regulations.
• Assist with validation and re‑validation of critical systems and equipment under supervision.
• Update operating procedures and verify specifications meet regulatory requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance on basic equipment according to schedule.

Required profile

• Minimum NITEC or equivalent in a related science field with at least 1 year laboratory experience.
• Higher NITEC, Associate’s Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in a related science field is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team, follow strict safety protocols, and adhere to company rules.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Knowledge of laboratory testing methods (sterility, bioburden, aseptic filtration, environmental sampling).
• Understanding of QSR, FDA, and ISO regulations.
• Basic mathematics skills (decimals, percentages).
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices.
• Awareness of cleanroom environmental health and safety guidelines.
• Experience with preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment.
