Lead DevOps Engineer – FinTech Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure for a regulated FinTech environment. You will collaborate with application, security, and operations teams to drive CI/CD automation, improve reliability, and ensure production stability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud/hybrid infrastructure supporting payment systems.
• Maintain and optimise Linux‑based production environments for mission‑critical applications.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and automate provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
• Operate container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS) and manage cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) with focus on cost, scalability, and security.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch) and lead incident troubleshooting and post‑mortems.
• Embed security best practices (DevSecOps) and support compliance requirements such as MAS and PCI‑DSS.
• Mentor junior engineers, collaborate with developers, SREs, QA, and product teams, and contribute to architecture discussions.

Required profile

• 6–10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Linux systems administration and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Proven track record supporting high‑availability, production‑critical systems.
• Excellent scripting skills (Bash, Python) and solid understanding of networking, security, and system performance.
