Lead Repair Development Engineer (Joining Technology)

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Repair Development Engineer to design, industrialise and support advanced joining processes for gas‑turbine component repairs. The role will drive process development, validation and technology transfer while working closely with global engineering, manufacturing and supply‑chain teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new manufacturing and repair technologies for component repair strategies and new product introductions.
• Create and execute validation plans for repair materials and laser‑cladding technologies.
• Industrialise and qualify repair processes across global service centres.
• Design, evaluate and implement engineering solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Monitor project progress, communicate updates, risks and milestones.
• Provide technical expertise in laser cladding, welding, brazing and related repair processes.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation according to company standards.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost repair quality, productivity and process capability.
• Collaborate with supply‑chain, component engineering, manufacturing and global teams to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support global implementation of repair processes and offer technical leadership.

Required profile

• Degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 8 years of manufacturing experience, with a minimum of 5 years focused on joining technologies.
• Willingness to travel internationally (≈10 %).

• Up to S$8,500 basic salary plus AWS and variable bonus
