Lecturer (Engineering) - School of Engineering

About the role

Republic Polytechnic is recruiting a Lecturer in Engineering for its School of Engineering. The role combines teaching and curriculum work with industry-linked activities such as research and consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate student learning, develop the curriculum and take part in development projects in Project Management areas such as Engineering, Construction, Facilities Management, Manufacturing and Service Industries.
• Develop and deliver Continuing Education and Training (CET) lessons.
• Selected candidates take part in R&D/implementation projects and provide consultancy to industry.
• Mentor students, supervise final-year projects, arrange internships and engage with secondary schools, teachers, parents and universities.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Built Environment or equivalent.
• Experience in project management of engineering or built environment projects, including planning, scheduling, resource management and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong industry links in project management and/or facilities management.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or CAPM and knowledge of emerging technologies (AI in project management, digital twins, IoT-enabled facilities) preferred.
• Genuine interest in sharing knowledge with young people.
