Lecturer – Events & Project Management

About the role

Republic Polytechnic is seeking an experienced professional to join the Diploma in Events & Project Management (DEPM) as a Lecturer. You will shape future event and project managers by delivering industry‑relevant teaching, fostering innovation, and linking students with real‑world projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and continuously update curriculum, learning resources and assessments aligned with emerging workforce needs.
• Integrate industry practices, digital technologies and AI‑enabled tools into teaching and learning.
• Create authentic, industry‑based learning experiences, including stackable credentials and professional certifications.
• Build and maintain partnerships with industry stakeholders, professional associations and government agencies.
• Lead industry projects, consultancy engagements and work‑integrated learning opportunities for students.
• Mentor students in competitions, internships, final‑year projects and personal development.
• Champion the adoption of AI, generative AI, workflow automation, data analytics and digital experience platforms in academic and industry projects.
• Contribute to applied research, consultancy and professional development programmes for external partners.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Events Management, Project Management or a closely related field.
• Significant industry experience in event planning, project leadership, digital transformation or AI applications.
• Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum and deliver engaging, practice‑oriented instruction.
• Strong network with industry partners and a track record of managing collaborative projects.
