Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Interdisciplinary AI

About the role

The Office of the Provost invites applications for Fellows of Acacia College. Successful candidates will join as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer on the Educator Track, delivering interdisciplinary, seminar‑style courses that integrate artificial and human intelligence for first‑ and second‑year undergraduates.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver interdisciplinary seminar‑style courses for Year 1 and Year 2 students, meeting General Education requirements.
• Lead or co‑lead highly interactive sessions that explore AI applications across domains such as creativity, sustainability, industry, sports, and societal transformation.
• Engage in teaching and learning activities beyond the classroom, fostering a holistic living‑learning environment.
• Contribute to Acacia College operations through essential administrative and service roles.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant field (doctoral candidates nearing completion are encouraged to apply).
• Applicants without a PhD may be considered if they hold a Master’s degree with at least three years of teaching experience or five years of relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to supporting students’ personal and community development within a residential college setting.

Required skills

• Expertise in interdisciplinary applications of artificial intelligence, including generative AI tools, robotics, AI performance measurement, and related technologies.
• Ability to integrate AI concepts with societal, sustainability, or industry contexts.
