Legal Assistant Manager – Travel Retail

About the role

Join Shiseido Travel Retail in Singapore as a Legal Assistant Manager, supporting the Global Duty‑Free business. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will manage legal and risk matters across a portfolio of beauty brands, gaining exposure to commercial agreements, regulatory compliance and internal policy development.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as procurement contracts, SaaS, data‑processing agreements, NDAs and LOIs.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure timely execution of legal documents.
• Provide preliminary legal counsel on commercial issues and support retailer agreement reviews.
• Assist in designing, training and enforcing company policies including code of conduct, whistle‑blowing, data privacy, anti‑bribery and IP protection.
• Conduct legal research on risk management, data privacy and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain organized filing systems for executed agreements and develop contract review processes.
• Liaise with outside law firms and service providers as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in Law from a common‑law jurisdiction (or US equivalent).
• 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience in a common‑law jurisdiction or 7‑10 years as a legal assistant with corporate legal exposure.
• Strong understanding of contract, commercial, privacy, IP and corporate secretarial law.
• Excellent legal analysis, sound judgment and ability to balance business needs with risk considerations.
• Proactive, meticulous, self‑motivated and eager to learn.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across functions.
