About the role
The Legal Counsel (Funds) will act as a trusted business partner to the Group CEO and senior management, providing in‑house legal expertise on risk and governance matters within a highly regulated industry.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the drafting, review and negotiation of fund establishment and constitutive documents, with a focus on Variable Capital Companies (VCCs) and related fund structures.
- Support the incorporation and ongoing maintenance of fund and management company entities, including overseas office set‑up, and coordinate with corporate secretarial service providers.
- Interpret regulatory requirements affecting fund operations and licensing.
- Provide legal advice to investment, operations and management teams.
Required profile
- LL.B from a reputable institution.
- 5–7 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in funds or investment‑management legal work.
- Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to influence cross‑functional teams.
