Legal Counsel (Funds)

About the role

The Legal Counsel (Funds) will act as a trusted business partner to the Group CEO and senior management, providing in‑house legal expertise on risk and governance matters within a highly regulated industry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the drafting, review and negotiation of fund establishment and constitutive documents, with a focus on Variable Capital Companies (VCCs) and related fund structures.
• Support the incorporation and ongoing maintenance of fund and management company entities, including overseas office set‑up, and coordinate with corporate secretarial service providers.
• Interpret regulatory requirements affecting fund operations and licensing.
• Provide legal advice to investment, operations and management teams.

Required profile

• LL.B from a reputable institution.
• 5–7 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in funds or investment‑management legal work.
• Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to influence cross‑functional teams.
