Legal Counsel – In‑House (Singapore)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced In‑House Legal Counsel to join our global technology‑driven insurance platform. Based in Singapore, you will support Southeast Asian and broader international operations and report directly to the Global General Counsel.

Key responsibilities

• Drive, manage and support negotiations with clients, partners and suppliers across Southeast Asia, the Americas and other English‑speaking jurisdictions.
• Draft, review, interpret and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and legal documents for multiple business lines.
• Conduct multi‑jurisdictional legal research to inform business decisions.
• Support dispute resolution matters in the region as required.
• Develop, review and enhance standard agreements and contract templates.
• Assist global corporate initiatives, preparing legal documentation and coordinating across jurisdictions.
• Handle employment and labour matters, including disputes.
• Update compliance policies in line with regulatory changes.
• Provide ad‑hoc legal and compliance support.

Required profile

• Law degree (Bachelor or above) from a recognised law school.
• Approximately 6–10 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in international law firms, MNCs or high‑growth technology companies.

• Strong background in technology, media & telecom, internet or cloud‑related industries.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and legal analytical abilities.
• Effective cross‑functional communication and collaborative mindset.
• Ability to apply legal principles across multiple jurisdictions.
• High sense of ownership, urgency and prioritisation in a fast‑paced environment.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable and able to work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• High integrity and strong team spirit.
