Legal Specialist – Contracts & Governance

About the role

foodpanda is seeking a Legal Specialist to provide comprehensive contract support, corporate governance, and compliance advice across its APAC operations. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams and the global legal hub to ensure contracts align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and advise on a wide range of agreements, including NDAs, vendor, lease, marketing, recruitment, loan, employment, IP licensing and data protection contracts.
• Maintain and update contract templates and implement procedures for contract retention, management and administration using Onit.
• Support end‑to‑end legal processes, including approvals and electronic or wet signatures.
• Oversee corporate governance and secretarial matters, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Collaborate with APAC stakeholders and global legal teams to harmonise contract standards.
• Manage and resolve multi‑party disputes, including regulatory filings and external negotiations.
• Conduct legal research to inform business initiatives and policy development.
• Deliver training on legal and compliance best practices.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience as a paralegal/legal specialist or 2+ years as a practising lawyer or in‑house counsel.
• Broad commercial law experience, preferably in e‑commerce or internet‑related environments.
• Proven ability to draft and review commercial contracts across diverse categories.
• Strong commercial acumen, influencing skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently under pressure.
• Knowledge of data protection and corporate secretarial matters is a plus.
