Librarian / Senior Assistant Manager, Service Innovation & Excellence

About the role

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore is seeking an experienced Librarian / Senior Assistant Manager to shape user-centred library services, drive service innovation and improve physical and hybrid library environments. The role sits within NTU Libraries, part of the Office of Information, Knowledge and Library Services, and combines leadership in operations, user experience, space transformation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and enhance library operations and service delivery across key user touchpoints, improving service quality, consistency and user experience.
• Shape and deliver space transformation and user experience initiatives that support learning, collaboration, discovery and wellbeing.
• Lead service innovation and continuous improvement based on user feedback, operational insights and emerging trends.
• Develop and guide staff and student assistants to support operational readiness, service excellence and the implementation of change.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline; a postgraduate qualification in library and information studies or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in academic, research, public or other service-oriented environments, including supervisory experience.
• Experience in operations, user-facing services, service improvement, project leadership or change implementation.
