Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Logistics Coordinator ensures that incoming engines and materials are correctly routed and that finished products are shipped to customers on time. You will work within an aviation MRO environment, supporting both inbound and outbound logistics while maintaining accurate records.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and record data into the ERP system.
• Inspect incoming items for wear or defects and report damages.
• Label stock items with batch numbers.
• Liaise with forwarders on inbound and outbound shipments.
• Coordinate with purchasing for receiving, invoice verification, and shipping documents.
• Verify shipping invoices and release shipments to forwarders.
• Submit shipping status updates to customers and internal parties.
• Maintain the company’s shipping database and inform stakeholders of any deviations.
• Manage freight bookings and coordinate consumables deliveries.
• Support store and warehousing functions, including receiving, issuing, scrap, cycle counts, and stock takes.
• Participate in safety sub‑committee activities and emergency drills.

Required profile

• Valid forklift licence (3‑tonne preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb for roughly 25 % of the workday.
• Good knowledge of freight forwarding and Incoterms.
• At least 3 years of experience in store‑keeping and shipping duties.

• Experience with FedEx Ship Manager.
• Experience with UPS OneWorld.
• Experience with DHL shipping platforms.
