Logistics Coordinator / Transport Planner

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Logistics Coordinator / Transport Planner to manage daily transport operations for a chemical manufacturing environment. The role involves coordinating fleet allocation, terminal bookings, and ensuring timely deliveries while supporting safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily transport activities, allocate fleet resources, and secure terminal bookings.
• Assign jobs and collaborate with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to meet delivery targets.
• Optimize routes and fleet utilization to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Liaise with transporters, 3PL providers, and vendors, arranging external support when required and monitoring service performance.
• Prepare and maintain transport documentation, update SAP/TMS systems, and assist with invoice verification.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, support incident handling, and provide backup for daily operations.
• Perform ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics planning or transport coordination.
• Experience with chemical logistics or dangerous goods handling is an advantage.
• Strong coordination, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
