Machine Maintenance Technician – Staff

About the role

The Machine Maintenance Technician will ensure that production line equipment operates reliably, supporting output, scrap reduction, and product quality. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing machinery to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on production equipment.
• Lead equipment maintenance efforts, including set‑up, buy‑off, type conversion, fine‑tuning, and optimisation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, calibrations, and tool checks according to schedule.
• Mentor and train junior technicians, providing guidance and hand‑over documentation.
• Analyse equipment data to identify improvement opportunities and support continuous‑improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with CSR, EHS, QM, ESD, 5S, and clean‑room protocols.

Required profile

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent technical certificate.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Level 2 troubleshooting capability on at least one major equipment type.
