Maintenance Engineer (Manufacturing)

About the role

JobMolex is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join its Data Communications and Specialty Solutions Division in Singapore. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of stamping equipment and automation systems that support high‑volume manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive equipment reliability through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues to minimise production downtime.
• Support production teams by ensuring equipment availability and optimising machine performance.
• Lead initiatives to improve OEE, MTBF and MTTR.
• Support vision‑system setup, optimisation and troubleshooting for production and tooling applications.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring equipment failures.
• Collaborate with vendors on equipment upgrades, retrofits and new machine installations.
• Contribute to automation and digitalisation projects to improve maintenance efficiency.
• Develop maintenance procedures, checklists and SOPs.
• Provide technical coaching and mentorship to maintenance technicians and junior engineers.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of maintenance, troubleshooting and equipment repair experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control systems.
• Proven hands‑on troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced production environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
