Maintenance Planner/Coordinator (Shutdown/Turnaround)

About the role

Evonik Methionine SEA Pte. Ltd. is looking for a Maintenance Planner/Coordinator for shutdown and turnaround activities. The role combines office and field work in a chemical plant environment, where the candidate defines work scope, manages the turnaround schedule and maintains SAP work orders.

Key responsibilities

• Define work scope, task sequences and required manpower (internal and external), including scaffolding and insulation needs, estimate man-hours and work duration.
• Identify and order parts and prepare tools needed for the activities.
• Manage and control the plant turnaround schedule, track progress, give activity updates, manage discovery activities and ensure schedule compliance.
• Schedule maintenance activities, including mandatory testing and inspections, using an advanced work schedule that maximizes manpower utilization, wrench time and cost efficiency while minimizing plant downtime.
• Manage SAP work orders for planning and scheduling, and document recurring job plans in the SAP task list.
• Write, develop and maintain work packages for turnaround/shutdown activities.
• Analyze and track work order backlogs, review productivity studies and implement continuous improvement initiatives for cost, safety and work quality.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical or E&I) or equivalent.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in maintenance as technician, supervisor, planner, coordinator or equivalent.
• Knowledge of mechanical rotating and static equipment and piping, and electrical equipment, PLCs, instrumentation and controls (basic).
• Ability to read technical drawings and equipment documentation.
• Organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and in cross-functional teams, and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP, understanding of commercial basics and cost awareness.
• Knowledge of procurement processes.
• Strong knowledge of MS Project.
• Ability to analyze situations, make decisions and solve maintenance challenges.
