Manager, Data Custodian

About the role

The Data Custodian supports the NHG Group Data Office Information Management team in developing and governing the One NHG Common Data Model (ONCDM) to deliver consistent, high-quality, standardized data across the NHG cluster. The role requires strong technical skills in data profiling, validation, testing and quality assurance to support Healix, and involves identifying data gaps, resolving quality issues and managing data catalogues and metadata.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the ONCDM, including data definitions, business glossaries and metadata standards
• Drive data discovery, profiling, standardization and harmonization across business domains
• Ensure new data solutions, integrations and datasets align with ONCDM standards
• Perform data profiling, validation, testing and quality assurance for the Silver Layer, and resolve data quality issues with stakeholders
• Maintain enterprise data catalogues such as Epic reports, dashboards and HEALIX data assets, and keep metadata accurate and up to date
• Carry out data discovery and fact-finding to understand data elements and business requirements
• Work with business users, Data Engineering, Synapxe and vendors on Bronze-to-Silver layer initiatives

Required profile

• Healthcare professionals interested in data management to support and improve healthcare
• Preferably a tertiary degree from a recognized university
• Preferably 5-10 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting
• Knowledge of data lakehouse project principles, data analysis and data profiling
