Manager, Deal Management

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Manager, Deal Management to support Business Development Finance across the Southeast Asia sub‑region. The role will advise on strategic and financial projects, ensuring profitable and compliant deals with issuers, acquirers and merchants.

Key responsibilities

• Support SEA division and account managers in structuring and closing complex business deals, from initiation to finalisation.
• Conduct rigorous reviews, negotiations and scenario analyses on business cases, assessing risk‑return trade‑offs and performing benchmark and reality‑check analyses on ROI, NPV and DCF.
• Provide guidance to the legal department on deal structures and ensure compliance with corporate, regional and local regulatory requirements.
• Communicate corporate policies, establish financial control processes, and drive market compliance with SEC and local statutes.
• Build financial acumen within business teams through training on business case modelling and financial implications of decisions.

Required profile

• Strong numerical intuition and analytical mindset.
• Perseverance and ability to manage unexpected, multiple demands.
• Confidence interacting with senior management and ability to persuade, motivate and influence stakeholders.
• Experience in business development finance or advisory roles within the payments or financial services sector.
