Manager, Internal Audit

About the role

SimplyGo is looking for a Manager, Internal Audit to lead the internal audit function, ensuring strong corporate governance, effective risk management and robust internal controls across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report on financial, operational and other audits in line with the annual Internal Audit Work Plan.
• Document audit processes, controls and findings, and submit deliverables on time.
• Assess the adequacy of internal controls, policy compliance, governance processes and risk management practices.
• Develop practical recommendations and work with management to close control gaps.
• Coordinate follow‑up reviews to verify implementation of agreed action plans.
• Assist in preparing a risk‑based audit work plan and schedule audits according to organisational priorities.
• Support the Audit & Risk Management Committee by preparing presentations, status reports and presenting audit observations.
• Provide advisory services, participate in special reviews, investigations and coordinate outsourced audits as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in conducting financial and operational audits.
• Strong understanding of internal control frameworks and risk management.
• Ability to analyse audit findings and formulate actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to senior management and committees.
• Capability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
