Manager, Operation Management (Quality and Productivity)

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions for semiconductors and advanced displays, is hiring a Manager, Operation Management (Quality and Productivity) in Singapore. The role leads a team to meet quality and productivity goals, plans ahead for challenges and drives continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team to meet quality and productivity goals, with the ability to plan and anticipate challenges.
• Develop and execute the site's quality strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards, customer requirements and regulatory expectations.
• Lead quality management systems (QMS), audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive root cause analysis and preventive actions to reduce defects and quality escapes.
• Monitor and improve defect rates, First Pass Yield (FPY) and SPC/non-conformance trends.
• Identify ways to improve labor productivity, cycle time, throughput and resource utilization, including AMR, automation and MES.
• Drive process standardization, automation and simplification, set productivity targets and lead value stream mapping and waste elimination projects.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence.
• 3+ years of people management experience.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional improvement initiatives with measurable results.
• Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics, industrial or related industries preferred.
• Strong leadership, motivation, communication and problem-solving skills; strong team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.

The work location is Science Park II, moving to Tampines from the end of 2026. The position is full-time, regular and on-site, with no travel and no relocation eligibility.
