Manager, Risk & Compliance

About the role

Singapore Pools, a not-for-profit organisation established in 1968 to provide safe and trusted betting against illegal gambling, is looking for a Manager, Risk & Compliance. The role implements and maintains Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity Management programmes, and keeps the company compliant with ISO, WLA-SCS and SS714 standards, so that it remains an effective legal gambling operator with strong corporate governance and resilience in a crisis.

Key responsibilities

• Certification management: coordinate the audit programme, run gap analyses for new or revised standards, review policies and procedures, conduct internal audits and training, and liaise with the external certification body.
• Business Continuity Management: establish and maintain the BCM framework and BCP documents, support senior management during a crisis, chair a weekly Operations Committee, guide business units on their own plans and Business Impact Analyses, run exercises and tests, and manage training and awareness.
• Enterprise Risk Management: report three times a year to the Audit and Risk Committee, monitor the risk profile and capture emerging risks, and coordinate enterprise-wide communications, training and surveys.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, Engineering or a related field, with 8 to 10 years of experience in at least two of the listed areas.
• Prior risk and compliance experience, preferably with a Big Four consulting firm or in-house, is preferred.
• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Experience with ISO9001, ISO27001, WLA-SCS and SS714 certification work.
• Preferred: ISO9001/ISO27001 lead auditor certificates, personal data protection practitioner certificate, Business Continuity Management certification (e.g. CBCI, CBCP, ISO 22301), and Enterprise Risk Management or technology risk certifications (e.g. IRM, CISM, CISA, CRISC).
