Manager / Senior Manager, Sector & Skills Development

About the role

The Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) is Singapore’s lead agency for financial services workforce competency and transformation. As a Manager / Senior Manager in the Sector & Skills Development Division, you will help shape the future skill set of the financial sector, supporting Singapore’s ambition to remain a leading international financial centre.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on sector and skills trends and identify emerging skills through research, data insights, and stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborate with financial institutions, professional bodies, tertiary and training providers to define and co‑create emerging skill requirements aligned with industry needs.
• Develop and drive strategies to address skills gaps and promote adoption of new competencies across the financial sector.
• Partner with banks, professional bodies and training institutions to expand the training offerings that meet the sector’s skill development needs.
• Promote and accredit training programmes based on the Skills Framework for Financial Services and other recognised learning schemes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in workforce or skills development within the financial services industry.
• Strong research and analytical capabilities to interpret sector trends.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including banks, professional bodies and training institutions.
• Strategic thinking to design and implement sector‑wide skill initiatives.
