Manager – Wealth & Asset Management Tax

About the role

Alvarez & Marsal is expanding its Wealth and Asset Management Tax practice in Singapore and seeks a Manager to lead advisory work for asset managers, private capital sponsors, family offices and institutional investors. The role offers exposure to fund formation, cross‑border tax structuring, MAS incentive applications and the full investment lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on Singapore and cross‑border tax matters for funds, investment holding structures, family office platforms, co‑investments and carried interest arrangements.
• Support fund formation, including design of fund structures, planning for tax incentives and reviewing fund documentation from a tax perspective.
• Assist with MAS tax incentive assessments, applications, implementation and coordination with clients and other advisors.
• Provide tax advice across the investment lifecycle – financing, distributions, restructurings and exits.
• Manage Singapore tax compliance and reporting, including corporate tax filings, annual declarations and responses to IRAS queries or audits.
• Participate in transaction‑related work such as tax due diligence and acquisition reviews.

Required profile

• Professional experience in tax advisory for asset management, private equity, venture capital, real estate or related private‑capital structures.
• Strong understanding of Singapore tax law, MAS incentive frameworks and cross‑border tax issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively with regional and global tax teams, legal advisors and fund administrators.
• Motivation to develop a rounded advisory skill set that combines technical tax analysis, transaction execution and client advisory.
