Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

RTX is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for an onsite position in Singapore. The role covers manufacturing procedures, documentation, productivity and quality improvement, and technical support for internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Establish manufacturing procedures and proper documentation control.
• Build new Manufacturing Job Instruction Sheets (JIS), NC programs and gauge plans using Siemens NX.
• Initiate productivity improvement activities, including equipment and fixture selection, design and deployment.
• Resolve technical issues arising from customer feedback.
• Carry out feasibility studies for manufacturing capacity improvement, layout improvements and expansion.
• Drive continuous improvement of the manufacturing system and its processes, and take part in company-wide productivity and quality programs.
• Prepare justifications for capital expenditure (CAPEX).

Required profile

• Degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Precision, Manufacturing, Material) or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
• Team player able to work closely with other teams on cross-functional projects.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with precision machining tools such as CNC 5-axis, lathes and milling machines.
• Competence in Unigraphics and/or other CAD/CAM applications.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
• Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred: experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma.
