Manufacturing Quality Engineer - VOC

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer focused on Voice of the Customer (VOC) to join its Singapore team. You will develop and apply quality standards, conduct tests, and ensure compliance with both company and customer requirements while supporting the production of advanced semiconductor and display equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply quality standards in line with company and customer specifications.
• Create, conduct, and document inspection and testing procedures.
• Recommend corrective actions for procedural, product, or process deficiencies.
• Analyze operational data and implement improvement recommendations.
• Participate in, and potentially lead, internal and external audits.
• Evaluate work methods, track qualification status, review reliability test results, and release qualification packs.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards; adapt inspection measuring devices as needed.

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in quality engineering with a solid understanding of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices and how quality integrates with other functions.
• Ability to act as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and lead small, low‑risk projects.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, capable of analyzing multiple information sources.
• Effective communication skills for explaining complex or sensitive information and building consensus.
