Manufacturing Technician 2

About the role

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defence company, is hiring a Manufacturing Technician 2 in Singapore. The role involves setting up, operating and maintaining conventional and CNC machines and inspection equipment in a cell or process, with work done onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain conventional and CNC machines such as milling, lathe, surface grinding, shaping, hobbing and broaching in the cell or process.
• Set up, operate and maintain measuring equipment, gauges and fixtures for accurate inspection checks.
• Perform simple troubleshooting of machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Maintain shop papers and records, and work according to technical instructions and drawings.
• Keep work areas, benches and machinery tidy and clean after use.
• Notify the supervisor promptly of machine or tooling problems that could affect product quality or safety.
• Carry out other activities requested by the supervisor.

Required profile

• NITEC or Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Basic command of written and spoken English.
• Able to work weekly rotating shifts.
