Manufacturing Technician (CNC)

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is looking for a Manufacturing Technician (CNC) for its P&W Manufacturing Services unit at Seletar Aerospace View, Singapore. The role is onsite and involves setting up and running CNC and CMM machines, with support for quality, safety and ethics compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate CNC and CMM machines and troubleshoot them simply
• Operate 5-axis CNC machines and set up tools for CNC milling
• Perform hands-on tasks such as manual polishing and media finishing
• Read and follow procedures and work instructions, and interpret basic blueprints
• Assess the risk of your own activities and take corrective and preventive action
• Work across functions and maintain daily 6S activities
• Comply with the UTC Code of Ethics and export regulations, and support EHS, quality and ACE activities

Required profile

• Minimum GCE 'O' level or equivalent; a diploma or NITEC in Precision/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering is advantageous
• At least 1 year of machining/CMM experience, preferably in aviation or MRO
• Training is provided
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Able to work permanent 2nd or 3rd shift
