Manufacturing Technician (CNC)

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is looking for a Manufacturing Technician (CNC) for its P&W Manufacturing Services unit at Seletar Aerospace View, Singapore. The role is onsite and involves setting up and running CNC and CMM machines, with hands-on machining work.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate CNC and CMM machines and troubleshoot them simply
• Operate 5-axis CNC machines and set up tools for CNC milling
• Perform other hands-on tasks such as manual polishing and media finishing
• Read and follow procedures and work instructions, and interpret basic blueprints
• Assess the risk of your own activities and take corrective and preventive action
• Work across functions, maintain daily 6S activities, and comply with the UTC Code of Ethics and export regulations
• Support and take part in EHS, quality and ACE activities

Required profile

• Minimum GCE 'O' level or equivalent; a Diploma or NITEC in Precision/Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering is advantageous
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in machining/CMM, preferably in aviation, open to other manufacturing/MRO companies
• Training is provided
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Able to work permanent 2nd or 3rd shift
