Manufacturing Technician

About the role

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defence company, is hiring an onsite Manufacturing Technician in Singapore. The technician sets up, operates and maintains conventional and CNC machines and inspection equipment in the cell or process, and keeps the shop tidy and records accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, operate and maintain conventional and CNC machines such as milling, lathe, surface grinding, shaping, hobbing and broaching in the cell or process.
• Set up, operate and maintain measuring equipment, gauges and fixtures for accurate inspection checks.
• Perform simple troubleshooting of machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Maintain shop papers and records, and work according to technical instructions and drawings.
• Keep work areas, benches and machinery tidy and clean after use.
• Notify the supervisor promptly of machine or tooling problems that could affect product quality or safety.
• Carry out other tasks requested by the supervisor.

Required profile

• NITEC or Higher NITEC in Precision Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Basic command of written and spoken English.
• Able to work weekly rotating shifts.
