Marketing Assistant – Academic Publishing (Singapore)

About the role

MDPI is seeking a Marketing Assistant to support its academic publishing services across Southeast Asia. Based in Singapore, the role offers an entry‑level opportunity to work with a global open‑access publisher and gain hands‑on experience in marketing, event coordination and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor industry trends and identify relevant conferences and workshops in the academic sector.
• Conduct research on competitor activities to inform marketing strategies.
• Create and schedule content for social media, newsletters and promotional materials.
• Manage MDPI Singapore’s social media channels, engage with followers and track performance metrics.
• Organise online and offline events such as webinars, workshops and author‑training sessions.
• Represent MDPI at academic conferences, set up exhibition booths and build relationships with scholars and media.
• Handle inbound inquiries about MDPI services and support database and logistics administration.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, international team.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic digital‑marketing knowledge, including social‑media management.
