Materials Coordinator

About the role

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defence company, is hiring a Materials Coordinator in Singapore. The role manages purchase orders and material flow for engine production, tracking availability, shortages and supplier commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchase orders for new, overhaul, exchange and repair parts to support timely, continuous material flow for engine production.
• Track material availability, shortages, supplier commitments and delivery status, and follow up with vendors on outstanding orders.
• Maintain accurate and timely material shortage information and identify material constraints, coordinating with stakeholders on solutions.
• Support supplier performance reviews and follow up on cost, quality, delivery and service actions.
• Support timely material fulfillment and inventory control through active WIP management and monitoring of aging finished goods and WIP.
• Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve defective parts and other material issues.
• Reconcile invoice discrepancies with vendors, Accounts Payable and internal stakeholders.
• Take part in continuous improvement projects to improve procurement, material flow and inventory control.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 1-2 years of procurement, supply chain or materials management experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in purchase order management, supplier coordination, material planning or inventory management.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Team player with a results-oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI.
