Mechanical Engineer – HVAC Ducting Installation

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will lead the planning, supervision and execution of HVAC ducting installation on construction projects in Singapore. You will ensure that all ductwork is installed to approved drawings, project specifications, SMACNA standards and local regulations while maintaining safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Review HVAC shop drawings, duct layouts and construction documents.
• Plan, supervise and coordinate duct fabrication, installation, supports, hangers, dampers and insulation.
• Conduct site inspections, testing, balancing and commissioning activities.
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments, work procedures and progress reports.
• Manage manpower, materials, tools and equipment to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with quality control procedures, handle NCRs and maintain documentation.
• Promote HSE compliance, conduct toolbox talks and investigate safety incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–8 years of experience in HVAC ducting installation on construction sites.
• Familiarity with SMACNA standards and local building codes.
• Proven ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
