Mechanical Engineer – Precision Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support our precision engineering and fabrication operations in Tuas. The role involves interpreting drawings, preparing BOMs, troubleshooting production issues and collaborating with operations and customers to ensure high‑quality manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications to guide fabrication.
• Prepare detailed Bill of Materials for production and select appropriate OEM components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and process challenges, offering alternative solutions.
• Coordinate with the operations team on technical issues and with customers on enquiries and support.
• Ensure all fabrication work meets project requirements, quality standards and continuous‑improvement goals.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Few years of experience in precision engineering or related manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with machining processes such as milling, turning, EDM or wire‑cut.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques including welding, sheet‑metal work and surface treatment.
• Proficiency in mechanical design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MasterCAM or UG) and strong Excel skills.
• Disciplined, systematic work attitude; entry‑level candidates may be considered for junior positions.
