Mechanical & Hydraulic Engineer – MRO

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical & Hydraulic Engineer to lead planning, design and implementation of MRO engineering activities for land systems. The role involves developing technical documentation, troubleshooting complex mechanical and hydraulic issues, and supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead MRO engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with industry standards.
• Develop and review maintenance manuals, repair procedures and engineering change requests for mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct technical analysis and troubleshooting to resolve complex system challenges.
• Collaborate with operations, quality assurance and supply chain teams to optimise maintenance schedules and inventory.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and resource allocation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and recommend cost‑saving measures.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering with 2‑3 years experience, or Diploma with 5 years experience in the automotive field.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, maintenance practices and safety standards.
• Proven project‑management ability and capacity to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving, troubleshooting and attention‑to‑detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software tools, particularly SolidWorks.
• Understanding of hydraulic schematics and mobile/electro‑hydraulic systems.
• Experience with hydraulic system simulation software (advantageous).
